Back in Japan...

So, after a long winter vacation, I'm back in Japan and back to work. I had a great time back home relaxing with the family and playing with the nephews. It's pretty amazing how big they're getting so quickly. It was a pretty typical time back for Christmas. We ate a lot, did some shopping, ate some more, relaxed at home, ate some more.... I think you can see a pattern.

After New Year's, Sean and i went to Vegas. That was fun, but man it was tiring. I THOUGHT I was used to walking a lot, but it really wiped me out. The first night we checked out the old downtown part. Besides losing a lot of money, it was fun because they had some cover bands playing all down the strip part. They were definitely fun to watch. The 2nd day, my luck in the afternoon was pretty horrible, but it turned around in the evening. Once again, we did a lot of walking around, but before that we watched some of the football games while grabbing lunch. I think on the 2nd day, we walked the ENTIRE strip. We ate at the Wynn buffett and it was REALLY good. They had a few things other buffetts didn't have, and the desserts were good too.

On the final day we decided to go watch the Penn and Teller show. It was good, but unfortunately, several of the things they did in the show were things that Sean and I had seen on TV before. We only payed 1/2 price for the tickets, so it wasn't so bad.

Overall, we did a LOT of walking and I lost money, but Vegas was a fun time. I spent just one more day back in Dallas and then I flew back to Japan.

When I arrived here on Friday, I was pretty exhausted, and unfortunately I woke up with a fever on Saturday morning. I had the fever for the weekend, but got better by Monday. since I've been back, I feel like all I've done is sleep. I've been back for less than a week and I've been trying to get over a cold and jet-lag, so that might actually be all I've done ^^;;

It's cold here, but so far not HORRIBLY cold. Hopefully it doesn't get much colder though...
