Going home...
Well, after some more discussion with my Board of Education, I've gotten my flight home tickets booked. The Board of Education was being very..... Japanese about the whole thing. Because they ONLY have to pay for my flight home, that's all they would provide.
Nevermind the fact that a round-trip ticket is about $1400. And a one-way direct flight is $3900. And a one-way layover flight is $2400. *sigh* So, that means I get a wonderful layover in Portland. (For some reason they almost choked when I told them that a one-way direct was almost $4000. Even though I told that to them a week ago.)
But, I'll be able to be home for about two weeks, so that should be nice. I'm gonna be in Dallas from July 29th to August 13th. I plan on bringing my golf shoes at least and hopefully I can get a lot of golf in during that time.
Other than that, the rest of this month will be pretty busy. Gotta pack, arrange movers, shut down all the utilities and such. Figure out what utilities to get setup out there. All the stuff that sucks with moving.
On the bright side, my new apartment seems like it'll be pretty decent. It's a little older, but it has 3 small rooms (instead of 2 big ones like my current apartment). But, even so, it seems like it's about the same size. It has a separate kitchen, bedroom, and living area.
Now, I just have to see if I can fit all my crap in it ^^;;
