so, tonight was really fun

I went to a game shop to pick up a magic deck, a Christmas presant, and some isreali half Lyra coins ( wich are older then the modern shekel) for aadroma I wanted to get more, bit alas, I couldn't

I needed to get another 'a new earth' book for my workshop at barns and Nobel. as I was looking at books that I could get my nephew, I overheard two men discussing religion and history. it sounded as if one was not sure what to believe, and the other was sure of himself and describing other religions threw the lense of judeo-christain lense. ( for example saying that hindu and buddism came from judiasm)( let me assure you that my collage major is religous studies and have studied these things). as I was listening to the guy spewing religious history as religion got my craw and I had to say something.

I pointed out that Judaism got a lot of ideas from Zoroastrianism via the diaspora first by the assyrans then the Babylonians. ( best example is apocolyptic literature)

that christianity is mostly based on Paula interpratation of jesus's teachings and that views often conflict.

said that the reason muhomad turned againd isreal was due to the lack of help isreal gave muhomad when battaling ' barbarians' and not due to divergent religious beliefs.

I also stated that Religion is mostly used for man who needs to make sence of his world. oy did that get a responce!!!!

anyway, my adrenaline was rushing and excited about the talk..... and I could tell that my aner was from that one guy trying to explain everything in the lense of judiasm and Christianity, rather then an unbiased mind. when he tried to do that, I interupted him with a new point.

why am I saying all of this? for once I can recall facts from my collage years and put it to use.... I could remember multiple classes that helped my arguments.... and in a way, got me excited about doing my Senor paper on the possible genesis of all 5 major religions (at least 30 pages)

very happy with myself
