Gen Con is Looming

So. Gen Con's a few days away, and as with every year, that turns my days and nights into a weird sort of state of mounting dread. It's not quite as bad, I suspect, as it is being on death row, or waiting to have some sort of scary experimental surgery... but it's not a pleasant sensation nonetheless. I've never been to Gen Con except for work, and ( Read more... )

Despite the sweat and demophobia, I'm certain that the gentlemanly, scholarly, down to earth, cool guy James Jacobs will shine through... My recommendation is to get out of working when possible and sit on a few sessions of the Pathfinder Society gig and observe Mr. Logue in action : ) Wishful thinking aye? Hell, that's the only reason I went to the Buffalo Con because I knew Nick was going to be there; never got to play but I wasn't disapointed... Or, remember the mint juleps!!

Seriously, I think once you get into your 'zone' of relative peace of mind and gamer/writer tranquility, you'll rock out man! Remember that Rone Barton and Ed Healy will be doing another podcast of Atomic Array at the Con, that would be great if you could step in, hang out, say a few things here and there.

At any rate, as far as the sweat goes, hopefully the Paizo booth will be set up near a booth with some gorgeous, available women who are making an appearance at the Con. People could relate to why you're sweating at that point. Or maybe Erik Mona will bring in a flamethrower, so that way you won't be uncomfortable at all... Everybody will be sweating then! : )

I think that's awesome that you're going and I'm sure there will be plenty of gamers who will truly appreciate your presence at the Con. I won't be there, but on behalf of all the gamers out there, I want to say a premature 'Thank You.' Thanks for coming to the Con sir!
