hey, wha' happened?
i think i only really use this livejournal to post embarrassing pictures of me and my friends, or to write about elvis costello. this one just happens to be about elvis, and how I MET HIM AGAIN TODAY!!!
after calling the david letterman show all yesterday morning to get tickets, i finally got them and then realized that i had the wrong day...
fortunately i got stand by tickets again when i called the show this morning and ventured into the city all by my lonesome this afternoon. i made it to the studio after bypassing a break dancing competition on 42nd street, and lined up to go in. I ended up being in the top balcony, but i still got to see elvis on the show, and his amazing everything. you could hear me go "woo" on the show, but that's just about it for my five minutes fame.
i waited at the backstage door after the show and met my husband again, took some pictures, and got him to sign my other ticket stub
and i must say, his new album is FABULOUS. so many songs are in 3/4 and 6/8 time, and that gives any album bonus points in my book.
