i've spent the last five days trekking the snow-capped peaks and green, green forests of tasmania, my first trip down there. fucking awesome i say!! basically stayed in pubs and B&B's, although spent monday night at a freezing cold cabin atop mt. rufus, although i did spend a bit of time high up playing in the snow -- another first for me! yay!!
aside from the trip, i've been experiencing the best and worst of life: dad went in for open heart surgery yesterday. fucking scary anyway but scarier still since i was away in tas and could have said my last words to him five days ago. but word came in late this evening that he's fine, thank fuck.
my own health has been a bit of a cunt lately. i've got cystitis or something like it and it's proving a real pain in the arse. not literally thank christ.
in good news now, i've been given a ticket to see beth orton at the palais this friday night. will be fucking cool.
