2012, the year that was.
It's that time of year again, a time to sit and reflect back on the year that's passed by answering some fairly non-descript questions. Thanks to the last month and 3 weeks this has been the greatest year of my life so at least this is a happier meme than last year!
1. What did you do in 2012 that you'd never done before?
Hmm there's been a few firsts, not sure any of them are LJ sensitive though...
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Don't think I made any resolutions?? I might make a couple this year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yeah! My cousin had a wonderful baby boy named Braydon. Still not been up to see him though :(
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully 2012 has been a death free year :)
5. What countries did you visit?
Spain (Lloret De Mars)
6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
A steady well paying job.
7. What date from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
November 2nd, the day Amanda and I got together, admitedly I don't remember the WHOLE night clearly but what I do I'll never forget.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Finding Amanda, somehow making her feel that she should be with me.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Breaking something that wasn't mine.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I have a pretty killer back and neck ache at the moment.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My first christmas present for Amanda.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My brother and sister in law for successfully gettin pregnant! :)
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Someone none of you know or ever will. Plus my own at times.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Council Tax and my car.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Falling in love. Everything about Amanda.
16. What song will always remind you of 2012?

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? A million times happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? A little bit fatter.
iii. richer or poorer? Poorer, much poorer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Wasted a lot of time not being with Amanda, so yes my answer to what do I wish I'd done more of is Amanda ;)
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wasting time.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent the midnight roll over with Amanda but then had to drive into London to do a Sams shift. I then came back home to Amanda before going to her parents, coming back to mine to cook and then onto my Brothers for Christmas dinner.
21. Did you fall in love in 2012?
Oh yes. Like I've never felt or come close to feeling before.
22. How many one-night stands?
None.
23. What was your favourite TV program?
New to me for the year? Has to be Adventure Time. Really far behind on TV though.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Kind of yeah.
25. What was the best book you read?
I've had one of the worst reading years of my life. Barely got through anything. I think it was probably The German Genius.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I can't think of anyone :( Been a quiet music year for new things. Spent most of my time obsessed with Amanda Palmer I think.
27. What did you want and get?
Amanda!
28. What was your favourite film of this year?
Moonrise Kingdom, Avengers Assemble and Dark Knight Rises.
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was a grand 30 years old and I spent the entire day cooking and failing to do a good job in preperation for my party the next day. Had a surreal party which was a lot of fun if not succesful in everything I'd had planned.
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Lack of drama.
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?
Whatever I was wearing last year.
32. What kept you sane?
Who said I've been sane?
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I guess Lucy, Rita Hayworth and Scarlett Johansson due to Avengers.
34. What political issue stirred you the most?
The US election.
35. Who did you miss?
People I haven't seen much, so mostly everyone :(
36. Who was the best new person you met?
Amanda! Still find it hard to believe I haven't known her my entire life.

Pay attention to everything.
