A Big Birthday Weekend for a Big Guy
My birthday was Saturday (I turned 36) so I had a big weekend of birthday activities.
Started Thursday night when Mark (Ginkgocubb) made me a yummy pre-birthday dinner. Salad, chicken and pasta, bread, and key lime pie. Carlos (muffinbear) also joined us. Mark got me a set of medium sized ramekins from Crate and Barrel. Now I have to make mini-souffles for him or something.
Friday night some of the str8 cowerkers and former co-workers took to to Joes on Juniper. I had a birthday shot with a candle in it :)
Saturday night McFall (jason099) came and took me to dinner at The Globe, the newish nice restaurant at Technology Square. We liked it. Had a wide range of things, like duck and chicken and gazpacho and others.
Then we went to the Stage Door to see Eartha Quake's special birthday drag show (we have the same bday, she is one year younger than me). That was a hoot. A bunch of myfriends met me there, and I got some great gifts.
Next it was off to the Eagle, after a quick stop home to change. Had a blast there. James got me this gigantic stuffed Dog. He had stashed it in the coat check room. I could barely carry the big bulky box out.
Sunday my new boyfriend Jason (T8R) and I, and Chance and Robb went to brunch at Red Chair. It was yummy.
And yes, in case u skimmed over that, I have a great new boyfriend. We spent most of Sunday together.
Sunday night ginkgo Mark came over to watch the last episode of Queer as Folk.
