Wasting my time designing a marquee

If you're curious to what I've been doing lately and why I seem to have no time, that's because I'm spending way too much time looking at porn! microcontroller projects.
No, really.

I want to make a LED marquee that you can wear, like this, but multicolor. The problem is, the more RGB LEDs you add, the more complex the wiring becomes, because each RGB LED has 4 pins, 3 for each color and a common ground (or positive). And with a marquee that has 5 rows and 20 columns (that's 100 LEDs for you math geniuses) you need to add all sorts of fancy components and IC chips to run it.

Although, in the past week I've learned more about electronics than I ever have.

To start out, though, I may do a bi-color, red/green marquee, because you can wire it just like a single-color marquee. The bi-color LEDs have 2 pins, and the color depends on which way the current is going, so you flicker the current back and forth real fast to get both colors.
