Screwed up week

Well, I've had the most screwed up week imaginable. Just seems nothing I do this week goes right.

- Financial aid. As mentioned before I was denied financial aid to pay for the rest of my fees (scholarship paid for about 2/3rds). Turns out the teacher who was writing my letter of recommendation NEVER SENT IT. Thanks dude. I'm going to try to get an appeal going with his letter attached. And bank loans as a last resort.

- Earbuds. My Skullcandy earbuds aren't working in one ear, and I bought them earlier this year, so I'm invoking my warranty for them and will see if they'll replace them. I did see some very nice headphones for $5 somewhere, though.

- Cell phone. Last week my cell phone tried to swim and drowned. I decided to use this time to switch carriers. I'm attempting to port my old number over. It's not working so well, my number seems to be transferred but when I call it, I get a disconnected message, and my cell phone says I'm on a different plan than what I signed up for and I have zero minutes available.

- Ebay. I had two items up for auction. One sold for a reasonable price, one sold for half of what I wanted it to go for. Guess which one hasn't been paid for, after a week? The one that sold for the reasonable price. So I ended up shipping the one that sold for a shitty price, and still have the other item. FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

- My car!
My car has a broken stabilizer bar link. The link has ball joints on each end and one ball joint popped out. To keep the free end from hitting moving parts, I attempted to remove it. Ironically, the nut holding it on was easy to turn at first but got impossible as the nut came off. I finally got it off after two days of struggling. I can only imagine how hard it would be to get the other nut off to replace the entire thing.

It's not so much a question of knowing what I'm doing, it's more of a question of NOT having the right expensive power tools to do the job quickly and easily. And while it's not fixed, parts aren't loose and moving around in a way that could destroy joints, axles, rubber boots, or tires/wheels.

Oh, and add to this the fun of having trouble getting the wheels off because SOMEONE overtightened the wheel nuts with an impact wrench. Even with a 2 foot long breaker bar I had trouble getting the nuts off.

cell phone, headphones, school, ebay, car problems, auto repair, financial aid
