Day of WHAT? (star trek, maybe?)
Last Friday night I noticed a flyer at school with email for a "Day of Volunteering" today. The flyers were put up by the local United Way, it seemed.
So I sent out an email to volunteer. I could kinda undestand if they didn't reply over the weekend, since their offices are probably closed. But I still haven't gotten a reply even today, and Google is not coming up with any "Day of Service" or "Day of Volunteering" TODAY (it's coming up with days of volunteering but other days of the year, and in different locales).
So much for volunteering.

Last night I went to the first outdoor movie that kicked off the Ann Arbor Summer Festival, 2009's Star Trek. They had a few related events, sci-fi face painting, and stuff. I had a Star Trek shirt on and was glad to see some others had shirts on too... there were also three women dressed up in the original style complete with crappy 60's hairdos.
