This is more like it.
Strangely, I can handle 30 degree F weather without feeling too cold. I can even handle 20 degree weather and be only a little cold. Right now, 40 degrees would feel balmy.
Unless you were living under a rock, or don't live in the United States or neighboring countries, you might have either heard of or been in the middle of the massive snowstorm half the country had this last week.
It must have started for us around Tue or so, when I had to stand out in the middle of a pretty heavy snow to wait for a bus at 10pm. The wind was blowing abnormally from the east, rather than from the west like it usually does. And the snow was coming in nearly horizontally.
Most of it melted or didn't accumulate though, unlike other parts of the US that got a foot or so. But the wind!
The very next day, I want to say Wed, was so windy it felt like Antartica. It was pure hell. The wind was near constant and would gust to nearly 60mph. Like I said, I can stand in 25 degrees F and not freeze.. if it's not windy. The wind chill made it feel like -10. And for the next few days, until Saturday, the wind chill got as low as -15 degrees F, even though the real temp was anywhere from 25 to 12 degrees.
Now it's a nice, sunny, balmy 30 degrees....farenheight. But not even remotely as bad as the end of last week.
