Update on schooling

In a previous entry, I mentioned not getting anything accomplished that day. The day after I was able to do everything... do my financial aid, sign up for classes, and apply for a job.

Well, as it goes, I was awarded financial aid. Strangely enough, I was only awarded $600 in the fall and $2500 in the winter. According to my bill, the one class I am signed up for costs $450, which means I have to go to financial aid and figure out how the second class will be paid for. As I have a letter from unemployment stating I have some priority in getting aid.

Second class? When I tried to join the two classes the first time and was denied, and then had to seek an override, I assumed that at least one of the classes would be full by then. Sure enough, in a DAY, one class went from having 2 seats to being full. I'm the only one on the waiting list! I hope I can get into the class, if not I'll try to see if I can get into something else.

And of course I got denied for the bookstore for some stupid reason.

The company that owns all the eateries at the school is accepting applications, but I think they want your schedule, which I don't have since I'm on a waiting list. So I'm not sure if I should turn in the application or not.

school, job search, job, financial aid
