karaoke, outdoor stuff
Me and Jenn went to a resturant last night to do karaoke. The last time I had checked the thing out, there was only a few people there. This time the place was packed. I sang Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac, Shimmer - Fuel, Land of Confusion - Genesis, and me and Jenn finished off with a duet to Teenagers - My Chemical Romance, where we got some of the audience to sing along with.
After I dropped her off I went stargazing for a quarter hour just north of town, but only saw a handful of shooting stars here and there. Too much background light I guess.
At REI I was looking at some bike stuff and ended up wandering to other departments like boating and camping, and I realize I haven't been active outside in a while. I've barely rode my bike and am only now getting it fixed up. I haven't canoed or kayaked this year. And when I think of other activities it's been a while as well.
- I haven't been backpacking since I was a teen.
- I haven't multi-day canoed (with camping gear) since I was a teen.
- I haven't multi-day kayaked in several years.
- I haven't biked multi-day...wait for it... since i was a teen... and I haven't done a full day trip in a few years.
- I haven't kayaked in a couple years I think.
I need to get out there man! I need to go out and camp and hike and backpack and tackle some white water and shred some rapids and hit the stream and pedal some asphault!
