I HAS ART
You know, for being a furry since 2001, I've never had art.
Being broke, I tried to get art from Gaia.
Freebies seem to be out of the question. Freebie threads seem to require you to hang out in them and talk for days, if not weeks, or months, and you MIGHT get freebie art. In any case, I actually had about 4 people actually put down that I'd get art from them, two in a furry guild. I have yet to actually see anything from them. They all vanished off the face of the planet.
That also happened with three actual gold commissions I did. One of them had a legitimate excuse, his tablet broke. The other two vanished entirely.
Add to that that many of the furry artists on gaia that do paid work aren't doing work right now, and I feel a bit stuck. As of this moment I've commissioned two more, and hope to get something done.
As I learned from the convention, it often takes offers of REAL MONEY to motivate the lazy.
So it surprised me when someone in the guild commissioned a piece for me behind my back, and then presented it to me.

Had I known she was drawing it, I would have suggested some things. The pose is a bit odd. I don't know what the shoulder blade guards are, and he wears a trench coat. The camouflage pants are supposed to be brown. Don't know what's on his knee. The ears are supposed to be more feline. But she got the hair and the fur right and it looks nice.
