I spent an hour at the doctors going over test results and lifestyle changes.
My blood glucose level seems to be around the 170-200 range which is high. Cholesterol is a bit high but only by a little bit, it seems my good cholesterol is too low. Everything else is normal.
I'm going to be put on drugs..
Zocor for cholesterol and
Metformin for glucose. I have to be careful with the drugs though because they might lower my blood sugar TOO much. I also got one of those blood sugar monitors with a pricker. The needle's small and you can prick your hand and arm as well so it's not as bad. It seems they tell you to prick your finger because it's easier to get blood that way, but the meter only requires a tiny drop.
I'm also going to have to watch my carb intake.. I can't eat more than about 240 carbs a day. WHICH IS VERY HARD AT PUBLIC FOOD PLACES AS THEY DON'T LIST THEIR CARBS ON THEIR MENUS. :( I found that out today. Hell, even the restaurants don't list nutrition info... WTF.
And the doctor said I should try to walk for 30 minutes 3 times a week. And maybe look into a fitness center.
This Punisher 2 movie looks so fricking good. I think I creamed myself in joy.
