Update on the shirt and the Renaissance Festival
According to UPS the shirt finally arrived in my town this morning so it will be delivered today or tomorrow.
Nice timing.
Here's what makes things worse. When we finally got to the Renaissance Festival yesterday, the guy at the ticket booth told us that this weekend was not the last weekend after all, and that the festival was extended until next weekend. So we didn't find out until after we got there that we could have gone NEXT weekend.
People don't believe me when I say I have bad luck. They think I'm exaggerating. How could it not be bad luck that I want to take something to an event, but the item doesn't arrive so I can't take it, and then I found out that the event isn't ending that day, but rather a week from that day, so I could have waited to get my item and gone to the event on a later date?
I mean the fact that everything went exactly OPPOSITE the way I planned it is proof that the universe is against me.
At the fair I was dressed in my new Monty Python Killer Rabbit T-shirt (Run away!), the same shirt I found brand new at a thrift shop and bought for $1.50. It got quite a few good comments and one booth lady even tried to sell me a Vorpal scarf. If people asked about the shirt I'd tell them that rabid rabbits roamed the surrounding woods and only something called a "Holy Hand Gernade" could destroy them.
To add insult to injury, as I walked out of the fair I received a coupon for one free admission to the fair, if someone buys admission at full price.
So now all I have to do is find someone willing to go to the fair one last time with me. If I was still a member of the fur boards I'd ask there and probably get a lot of takers. Thanks Gir.
