I just realized that Youmacon is less than a month away. Damn, here I'm still in summer mode; I keep forgetting it's fall. It's probably because of the fact that it's still warm as hell and none of the leaves have turned colors (thank you global warming). My life's moving way too fast, I'm still thinking it's the beginning of the semester. But I always do that, I underestimate the time I think I have before something and always end up late for everything!

Pre-reg is over, sadly but that's okay, at least that means if my job pulls a fast one I won't lose money. And I've seen those pre-reg lines the first day at Otakon, so I know they can be long and insane. Ah well.
Board:
I am about 1 hour from Troy, I've actually timed myself on this, as long as I-696 doesn't pull a traffic jam out of their ass. The question is, is it worth it to get a hotel room if you live this close? I notice that the Hilton is sold out (in August!) but there probably are nearby hotels all over the damn place (like the alternative one listed).
Costume:
Ha ha, my plan was to go easy on this one and just dress up as Hideki, since I'm pretty much like him except for not being a technophobe and not having glasses. And since I'm lazy and a huge procrastinator, the guy's costume is easy as hell... all he does is wear a pair of jeans, a white tee, and that green/tan coat for half the anime. The coat's gonna be a tough one, I wonder if I can find something like that. Then again, I also plotted dressing up as Keitaro, because I'm a lot like him as well (minus the clumsiness.. well... most of the time). And yet another easy costume I think... Having not seen all of the anime or manga I have no idea what his common outfit is (at least they sometimes change clothing!), but I think it's like that in the picture, with a yellow shirt, blue sweater, khakis, and an orange coat.
Hell, any anime character who's a computer geek but also a hopeless geeky guy who is surrounded by women but never has any luck with them (pick any harem anime) would work for me, but it would have to be one I've seen, since I'm not going to dress as a character I've never seen.
