Star Trek Marathon and IRC
So, I'm on IRC, and I say:
"Shit, I missed Family Guy."
no response.
"I was busy watching the Star Trek TNG marathon on G4."
nothing.
"It sucks anyway, they're starting with the shitty first season. Before the show was cool."
people still ignore me.
I'm not sure why, but people tend to ignore me on IRC. Sure, not everyone wants to talk about Star Trek, but it doesn't matter what I'm talking about, I'm almost always ignored. It's insane.
It's the same thing as here. Why do I even bother if no one even pays attention to me? I might as well just be friends with only myself, go insane, kill and eat a few people, get sent to prison or an insane asylum. (Insert long rant about belonging and being a part of something here.) But really, I tire of everyone ignoring me on IRC for some stupid reason or another. It's fucked up.
Speaking of Star Trek, G4 is now playing TNG every night at 8pm starting today.
Today, they were playing some shitty episode where the Enterprise was trying to make a treaty with a planet of primitive people. The people had polygamy and the men would choose wives by having two women fight to the death. And they kidnapped a female crewmember to make her the wife of the head of the planet.
Get this though. The entire planet was black. And they looked like they were from Africa, with African-looking clothes and weapons. Hur Hur, racist much? And then they claimed they were superior in culture to the Enterprise.. please bitch. The Enterprise should have beamed their crewmember back onboard then punched holes in the planet with their weapons. Proved those primitive Africans a lesson or two. That's what I would do.
