Once, I was in the dark. I learned. Here's a helpful memo to those of you that have yet to understand livejournal cuts (this allows you to post a lot and not take up eight screens on everyone's "friends" list).

Cut and paste this:

*lj-cut text="WHATEVER DESCRIBES YOUR POST GOES HERE"*
post what you want to post HERE
*/lj-cut*

replace * with these <>, and you'll be just fine.
