The movies that I'd rented earlier this week were due back this morning at 10:30. As I as not tired and it was nice outside last night, I decided to jog from our house down to Movies to Go, and enjoy the nice weather rather than just drive there. A few comments:
1) I will not ever jog down the sidewalks on 8th street at midnight. The sidewalks are in horrible shape. By Olive St, I just gave up and ran on the road itself.
2) There are some beautiful homes on 8th street, but there are also some homes that make ME (a 6'6", 270 lbs man) scared to be running by in the dark.
3) The old park looks INCREDIBLE in the moonlight. I almost camped out there with the elderly men setting up a yard sale.
4) Bryan Kelly has little to no concept of distances. His estimate of the distance between our house and Movies to Go was "maybe a mile?" I think it was probably much closer to a mile and a half.
5) I am horribly out of shape. I made it to return the movies fine, but I had to walk for an embarrassing amount of the way back. Guess I'll be doing this jogging thing a lot more in the coming weeks.
Watched "Runaway Jury" last night. The Grisham book was excellent. Whoever did casting for the movie is incredible at their job. Of all the movies I've watched, this is the most accurately depicted, in terms of staying true to the book. Amazing.
Oodles all around.
