When Zoe came into her office Saturday afternoon, she was expecting to find things exactly as she left them, with a possible new stack of paperwork sitting on her desk.

What she wasn't expecting to find was underwear of various sizes and colors scattered about the place ( Read more... )

Cameron knocked on the doorframe trying not to look too embarassed or too much in a hurry even if he was both.

"Ah, Mr. Mitchell," Zoe said, smirking. "Have you come to get something?"

That whole not looking embarassed thing was not working as he could feel even the tips of his ears heat up.

"I believe so, ma'am," he said as he recognised some of the boxers spread around the office.

At least he seemed properly embarrassed, Zoe noted.

"Do you have any idea how your personal items came to be in my office?" she asked.

Cameron swallowed and realised that telling the principal about the Stickbug-Meerkat rivalry was probably a bad idea.

"No, ma'am. Someone's idea of a joke?"

"I think that's easy enough to assume. It is rather funny," Zoe admitted, still smirking. "I hope there aren't any problems going on down at the cabins?"

Cameron shook his head. "No, ma'am. The cabins are fine. We're all having a lot of fun. Maybe you should come join us for a while," he suggested.

Zoe had to give Cameron credit - he was an extremely brave young man. "No, that's all right. I'm not really the cabin living type. I leave that to all of you. But it's good to know that nothing harmful is going on there."

"The graduated students are doing a fine job looking out for us," he said even if he wasn't all too sure as it wasn't like they'd taken any steps yesterday with the prank. And maybe it wasn't so much brave as stupid. "Maybe you could come eat marshmellows with us one evening?"

"I sincerely doubt that you can speak on behalf of all of the students in inviting me to come by the campfire one evening," Zoe explained. "I don't think that sort of interaction would be welcomed."

Cameron tilted his head. "Possibly, but we're kids so what do we know?"

Then he spotted his thundercats boxers right on top of the lamp and squirmed. "I should probably," he motioned around.

Zoe couldn't help but laugh by this point. "Yes, you probably should. And keep better track of your underwear from now on, all right?"

The laughing definitely didn't help with the blushing. "I can assure you that this is the first time my underwear has escaped, ma'am. I'll try keeping it on a leash," he promised as he hurriedly started gathering boxers.

"Good. And if you find out anything about who might have committed this prank, you should let me know." Sure, it was a long shot, but Zoe felt the need to try.

"I will do my best, ma'am." Cameron said, not that he was going to say anything.

He snagged up the thundercats boxers which was the last of his stuff left and saluted Zoe (still holding the boxers, whoops). "Have a nice day, ma'am. Sorry for the inconvience."

And then he fled.
