Character List

You know, it occured to me that with the enormous cast of characters this Big Damn AU of Doom sports there ought to be some sort of master list of them. So, here one is. Needless to say, I'll be adding things and sprucing it up real soon but until then this basic compilation will just have to do.
Here you will find just about every character featured in the Big Damn AU of Doom realm.

Primary Characters
I think the title speaks for itself. These guys are the core of the main storyline.

Name: Richard D. Winters
Moniker: Dick
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Lewis Nixon
Moniker: Nix, Lew
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Nathaniel C. Fick
Moniker: Nate
Fandom: “Generation Kill”

Name: Brad Colbert
Moniker: Iceman
Fandom: “Generation Kill”

Yes, I am fully aware of the fact that it turned out to basically be the two main couples in the Big Damn AU of Doom world. No, I don't care. Why? Because the Big Damn AU of Doom was initially created to get couple #1 together anyway - the world was built around them - and couple #2 has infiltrated and taken over on a massive scale later in the main storyline.

Secondary Characters
As is typical with ensemble casts, it's the secondary characters that are really interesting. These are the best friends, the brothers in arms, the supporting players who make it possible for the main characters to be as developed as they are. Also, these guys are just plain cool.

Name: Lynn D. Compton
Moniker: Buck
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Harry F. Welsh
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Herbert M. Sobel
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Donald Malarkey
Moniker: Mal, Don
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Warren H. Muck
Moniker: Skip
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Clifford Carwood Lipton
Moniker: Lip, Carwood
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Ronald Speirs
Moniker: Ron, Sparky
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Eugene Gilbert Roe
Moniker: Gene
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: George Luz
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Henry Jones IV
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Josh Ray Person
Moniker: Ray
Fandom: “Generation Kill”

Name: Alex M. Penkala, Jr.
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

As you can see, many of these characters go on to be featured prominently in their own spin-offs or simply continue to support the leading characters as the main storyline progresses. Either way, they rock and make the Big Damn AU of Doom a more interesting place.

Tertiary Characters
The best way to describe these characters is that they support the supporting players. They can be quite influential within their spheres, usually within a spin-off from the main storyline.
I placed Crowley and Aziraphale in this classification simply because they were too elusive for anything else.

Name: Robert Frederick Sink
Moniker: Dr. Sink
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: William S. Evans
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: David Kenyon Webster
Moniker: Web
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Joseph D. Liebgott
Moniker: Joe
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Catherine Grogan
Moniker: Kittie
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Ralph Spina
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Norman Staunton Dike
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

Name: Robert Timothy Bryan
Moniker: Doc
Fandom: “Generation Kill”

Name: Irwin Wade
Fandom: Saving Private Ryan

Name: Anthony J. Crowley
Fandom: “Good Omens”

Name: Aziraphale
Moniker: Angel
Fandom: “Good Omens”

Name: Ann Abigail Winters
Moniker: Abigail, Abby
Fandom: n/a

Name: Eleanor Isabella Margaret Nixon-Winters
Moniker: Ella, Ella Bella
Fandom: n/a

Name: unknown
Moniker: Renée
Fandom: “Band of Brothers”

As you can see, the last three characters in this category are unique situations. Abigail Winters is not a BoB canon character but she is based on the fact that Dick Winters did have a younger sister. Ella is an original creation but, as Dick Winters and Lewis Nixon's adopted daughter, she becomes rather important to the main storyline later on down the road. Technically speaking, Renée is dead before the main storyline even begins but she is mentioned enough times in later plots to warrant her being placed here. Additionally, Renée is a BoB canon character.

Quaternary Characters
Now we're starting to branch out into the farther reaches of the Big Damn AU of Doom. These are the background players. They tend not to be mentioned in the main storyline but they step in for spin-offs and stand alones. Sometimes they're only name-dropped and never actually seen. But they do exist and they play their parts when it's required of them.
I placed the Doctor and Jenny in this classification because they were even more elusive than Crowley and Aziraphale.

Name: Evan Wright
Fandom: “Generation Kill”

Name: Michael Wynn
Moniker: Gunny
Fandom: “Generation Kill”

Name: Joshua Lyman
Moniker: Josh
Fandom: “The West Wing”

Name: Samuel Norman Seaborn
Moniker: Sam
Fandom: “The West Wing”

Name: Claudia Jean Cregg
Moniker: CJ
Fandom: “The West Wing”

Name: Donnatella Moss
Moniker: Donna
Fandom: “The West Wing”

Name: Tobias Zachary Ziegler
Moniker: Toby
Fandom: “The West Wing”

Name: Josiah Edward Bartlet
Moniker: Jed
Fandom: “The West Wing”

Name: Wesley Davis
Fandom: “The West Wing”

Name: David McGraw
Moniker: Captain
Fandom: “Generation Kill”

Name: Ray Daniel Griego
Moniker: Casey
Fandom: “Generation Kill”

Name: Adrian Caparzo
Fandom: Saving Private Ryan

Name: Stanley Mellish
Fandom: Saving Private Ryan

Name: Timothy E. Upham
Fandom: Saving Private Ryan

Name: unknown
Moniker: The Doctor
Fandom: “Doctor Who”

Name: Jenny
Fandom: “Doctor Who”

Name: unknown
Moniker: Meesh
Fandom: “Generation Kill”

Name: Craig Schwetje
Moniker: Encino Man, Skipper
Fandom: “Generation Kill”

And no, I do not know Meesh's real name but that's okay. He's like Madonna or Cher or Prince, he only needs one name. As for the Doctor, well...none of us know Gallifreyan anyway so what does it matter?

Phantom Characters
At last we reach the final classification of character in the Big Damn AU of Doom. These are the folks that are never actually met and are only name-dropped - which even then isn't very often. Basically, they are plot devices with names.

Name: Caroline
Relationship: Brad Colbert’s ex-girlfriend, Frank’s wife

Name: Frank
Relationship: Brad Colbert’s ex-best friend, Caroline’s husband

Name: Mariana Wynn
Relationship: Gunny Wynn’s dead wife

Because even plot devices need names sometimes.

Wow, that's a hell of a lot of characters. So, any questions?
