Chatting with friends out in the physical world the other day (I've stopped referring to it as the real world, as you all seem pretty real to me), and the discussion question came up about what would you miss most about your life if you were suddenly kidnapped/dropped dead, etc.

My reply was, "Redheads and the Big Damn AU of Doom."

Oh, this was just lovely and everything that I was imagining it to be, and possibly even better! I kind of adore Cap. Strider, too. I'm damn glad we invented him, that was a good move - and one that I'm sure Brad is content with, as well.
But oh, one note: I thought Miller was Strider's First Mate? Don't you remember? First Mate Miller and Brad always used to get into power struggles on board the ship? Or am I recalling that incorrectly?

I think in my head, it was something like that Strider lapsed in to thinking of Brad as his First Mate, because that's the way it should have progressed and that's the way they came to think of it. Because that was one of the things that annoyed Miller, that people kept thinking Brad was the First Mate. Or that's my story anyway *laughs*

And oh, adoration and better than you thought is nice (so is the fact that Strider worked - perhaps I should be more insanely busy and then my writing will be awesome *grins, winks*). Also, chat today? (and phone. Must think about phoning).

That's okay, later feedback is pretty damn cool because it means you get unexpected later niceness. Or something. And oh, I'm glad you liked it - especially because it has a large involvement of an original character (and because now I have more plot bunnies about Brad, Ray, Poke and Jamaica).
