Advice from an old man

Jan 18, 2005 21:15

Today i went to the Cru Club to get a soda before my block of classes for today. And the old southern guy who works there asked me how I was doing and i just replied can't complain, cause it was the truth. Then he said the wisest thing I have heard in a long time, "The man who can't complain must be living life right." Good thing to hear.
So here is how my day went. Had my early boring law class and surprise it was boring. Then i had my two class block after that. Talking about sports and education, good times had by all. Then I did my usual nothing after class, my life keeps on a straight track. The same ole same ole.
Now time to vent, since i notice people do that on these things. Why do I have to be a coward when it comes to certain things, that certain thing being women. I know i play the cowardly lion once in my life, but was I really playing myself on stage? I mean how hard is it to go down one flight of stairs to get a hoodie back? How hard is it for me to apologize for saying the wrong thing right then? Hard to figure out.
As I stated in my first journal entry I will be doing my shout out to Doogie Howser, now is that time. Today I learned something, everyone has problems. Some are very minor and some our as big as a Tidal Wave. But people need to learn to stop focusing on them and focus on the good in their life. And after I type this sentence I will take care of one of my problems.
