Working out hurts

I don't think I've put my skates on in 3 or 4 years. Today I cleaned them up a bit, strapped them on, and went off towards the skate park 9 blocks away.

I like your motivation. You have to get into shape so your future kids don't stomp you at everything. Anyway, I do the most rediculously easy workout:

1 Running...not a lot to say. I don't have any hints about this. Running is running. Some people listen to music or something to distract them but I think about movies and look at trees. Don't think of it as a work out but instead just see running as some alone time to do some thinking away from phones, family, jobs, etc etc. And you're right that the right shoes are important.

2 Lifting...I haven't hit an actual gym in a looooong time. I hate them since they cost money and you have to wait for stuff. To me it makes my burn wear off in my measly little 30 minute work out. Instead I work out during the time I'm watching TV. Usually, The King Of Queens acts as my timer. It's on at 10pm so that also helps me maintain a schedule.

As for what I do, it's simple. I bought some cheap Wallyworld weights (the grey ones with the hexagon ends) and use them. I don't have room to store a bar so I just use 20lb dumb bells. My total workout consists of 60 modified situp/crunches/not sure how describe its, 90 pushups, 80 curls, and 60 standing military presses. Start at where you feel comfortable and then just watch tv and count to yourself as you feel the burn and build a sweat. You lose about have the weight as doing pure cardio but the other half is converted to muscle. Really it's just a modified version of what I was doing at the house except I have no Seth wanting to try and run with me lol ;)

I'll give you a call
