It's always nice to be back at Hogwarts--maybe I'll stay on after the week ends. At any rate, I could certainly get used to this professor thing. Compared to the some of the places I've lived recently, these living quarters are downright posh ( Read more... )

Professor Bill does not have to watch what he says if he wants to sit with Moody and myself at table tonight.

In fact, I'm going to beat that story out of you, as I have serious doubts that that damn potion is any good at all.

Do you think it's safe to sit by Moody? I have this vision of him trying to hex me during the middle of supper because he's still hacked off about that potion.

Not that he'd succeed, of course, but a man likes to be able to relax during meals.

He'd have to hex right through me.

You don't think I was going to let you two sit next to one another, Bill? It takes more than Cruciatus to muddle my brains that much.

Well, with such pleasant company, I couldn't refuse.

It's--at the least--an interesting potion. You'll see.

If I were you I wouldn't get fixated on the "pleasant" part.

Though you have my undivided attention.

Exactly how will I see, Bill?

At least it will be more pleasant than charming newt liver off the walls of the Potions classroom like I had to do with those third years this afternoon.

I'll tell you tonight at supper. Not for little ears, Hooch.

Anything is more charming than third years, and I include the newt liver.

Also, you're piquing my curiosity. Be careful what you rouse, Bill.

I've never claimed to be a careful person.

Though I have been known to honour my promises.

Bill Weasley, I am aware of your promises. They are profuse and all made towards someone else.

I'm not a spring chicken and I'm not a fool.

You, however, are a flirt. Moody will fall out of his tree when he sees this.

No spring chicken, maybe, but you're pretty fit for a tough old bird.

...A flirt, madam? Never in my life. Though I do enjoy a little piquing of the curiosity now and again.

Damn right I'm fit.

Oh, fuck. Is this the "fit" that means something else?

Did you teach the twins this "fit"? They won't leave me alone about it.

Was that you?

Teach the twins? No, they're quite capable of figuring things out on their own.

Do I need to define the word for you? You've not seemed to have a problem with your vocabulary in the past.

Neither have I.

I can't wait until supper.
