Chris's Opening Statement

I entered this game without any knowledge of past BBLJ games or how they usually work.  I am, however, a big fan of the real Big Brother and that's how I wound up in this game.  I tried to be nice and social and not play too hard too fast, but in waiting to make allies, I found that when it came time, prior alliances were trumping the ones I tried to create.  Or, that people I felt aligned with were never around to play the game.  I constantly found myself scrambling almost every week to find the right strategy to advance.  I finally found a strong alliance that no one seemed to realize existed and it helped ensure the first several evictions went the way that I wanted them to.  However, as the game entered the middle stages, my allies started dropping like flies.  I had to scramble to try to create new ones only to see those individuals quickly leave as well.  Somehow I remained standing.  You all probably think that I have "Jordan'ed" my way to the end of the game, and that may be true.  But, like Jordan, I was able to win a couple of the competitions.  I also believe that it shows that I am adept at playing the social aspect of the game by being able to survive 5 nominations, 4 consecutively, without the strong and long-lasting alliances that some others were able to maintain.  I also made myself available almost constantly to interact with the other houseguests and to therefore actually play the game.  I think that my fellow remaining houseguests were also diligent about that and I think that may be one of the biggest reasons why we are the final 3.
