Do you want to host BBLJ11?

One daring individual to host the eleventh season of Big Brother LJ. That literally means we want someone who is bold and ready enough to endure the diatribes that come along with hosting. It's a kick ass time, but it's equally as stressful. We need someone who can deal with both and continue the upswing that Big Brother LJ is on. It's much easier when you have people helping you, especially if you're not that great at making videos or anything of the like. Co-hosts are fine, but more often that not, one does all the work while the other just seems to be there and look pretty. On the flip side, it's good to have that back-up, though! Pick your poison.

Must have entire season planned out for Brad, Jonny, and Rob to look at. That means the whole thing. Now, you don't have to go into super in-depth detail, like what the color scheme of the layout would be. However, we need to know the following things. How many players are you shooting for? Please don't tell us 14 then come opening night you have 20 houseguests. What twists will you be using? We don't need to know the exact, minute details; you can still keep that a secret to yourself, but we need to know the basic jist of what you're doing because we don't want another BBLJ5 White Text H8 G8 to happen. Is there a certain tweak to the format you're planning on or are you sticking to traditional Big Brother? Shooting for a cast full of newbies/new to BBLJ is a definite plus in our book.

Must have at least four competitions for us to judge you by. We're asking for this because Big Brother requires a lot of competitions. Think about it: around 14 people, at least two competitions per week...there's a lot to be done. Thus, we need to know where your head is at and how you plan on challenging the houseguests. Try and come up with a new competition. That will give you brownie points and make you stand out. If you can tweak an older competition and make it interesting, that will make you stand out as well. Be creative, but don't over do it.

Must have a theme of some sort. Basically, you need a theme. Not a Survivor locale with tribe names and what have you, but a simple theme. BBLJ6 was set in a hospital, the BBLJ7 house had a Hollywood theme, BBLJ8 was all about going retro, BBLJ9 centered around board games, and this season had a space theme. Think about what the real show does and how they relate their theme to the competitions. That should not only help you with the theme, but obviously the competitions and -oh?!?!- didn't I say we want to see some of your competitions? See where this is going?!?

Overall, hosting is really rewarding and fun. You meet a lot of people, and you get to watch a game unfold right before your eyes while knowing all the secrets and the inner-going on's. Just for caution: if you're not fond of whiners, bitchiness, or drama - please do not apply. If you think you have what it takes, then please send us an e-mail with the above mentioned information to bigbrother.livejournal@gmail.com. This e-mail will be passed on to the host, but we need to regain access to it at the end of the season. Please note, the deadline for applications may be extended depending on circumstances. We want to give everyone a fair shot! If you have any questions, contact us or leave a comment here.
