So the ASU vs LSU game was this weekend, and it turned out to be one of the greatest football games I've been witness to. It was very close, like said it was going to be, but I was hoping we would still get the "W". Very good game though. I mean there was a point where not only did the defense weather a 30 minute drive by LSU but caused a fumble in the Red Zone to keep them from scoring.
However there must always be a losing team and there has to be something that went wrong for the losing team. It just so happend to be special teams this time around. Defense was on, offense was on, but the special teams gave up 14 points with in the first two minutes of the fourth quarter. A blocked field goal attempt and a fumbled up punt. No worries though, it was a great game and the Devils are still in the Top 20 on the AP (going back to 18), which was something I was thinking would happen with a close loss.
So in all I'm proud of my Devils and the Tigers gave 'em on hell of a game. Which is much better than some of the other games this weekend. With Iowa, Ohio St, and Michigan losing our bid for a good Bowl game is still very possible. It's also nice to see the Fighting Irish back in the Top 25 again as well. Let's hope this new coach of theirs can bring back some of the glory days of yesteryear at Norte Dame.
In other news, Barry Bonds is going to playing Monday and starting in left field and batting cleanup against the San Diego Padres. So I couldn't be more excited. He seems to be very happy and excited himself to finaly come back. I guess he has been signing autographs and being cheery with the fans again. So good for him, and good for baseball. He currently has 703 and only has to beat Babe Ruth (715) and Hank Aaron (755) in order to take the top spot. He has a good possibility of either tieing or replacing Ruth as number two but I think he will need two more season to seal the deal and beat Aaron for the number one all time home run hitter. Also, the question of him playing for th US in the first ever World Cup of Baseball (going to be named The World Baseball Classic because I think like Norway's pro league championship is all ready called the World Cup of Baseball). He says he's not sure and that he'll cross that bridge when it comes but I think he'll play. I'm so excited for that to start up. And the games will played in California, Flordia, and ARIZONA! With gold medel round possibly played here due to our great baseball weather year round! It's going to be great. It will prbably be aired on the baseball television network that they say should start up some time next spring. Oh baseball all over! YES!
Nothing to much going on with me really. Still working and still hating it. Yet it is a paycheck so I can't complain to much right? The promotions that are inline are still up in the air. I've basically got them it is only a matter of when I start. I hope it's soon. I'm starting to hate this night time shit. I would like to be able to hang out with my friends away from work, instead of them coming to me at work. Some day, some day.
Until we meet agaiin!
