Scattered thoughts:
OMG THIS SHOW. When the bad guys burst in and started shooting I had this moment of cognitive dissonance because the CIA guy I thought might be a mole just said SWAT was an hour out and then there were bullets flying and I was like, OMG YOU'RE SHOOTING THE GOOD GUYS, NOOOO!!!! Then I realized, OH WAIT, THOSE ARE THE BAD GUYS CLEVERLY DRESSED IN BODY ARMOUR. Wow, I didn't see that coming, especially midway through the ep. Well played.
Man, Dr. Deaton just came on the show and now he's dead in a hail of bullets. But I'm relieved Quinn was faking it, because Rupert Friend is a delight and I need more of him. Whew. At first when he was knocking on the wall, I was like, PLZ BACK AWAY AND CALL THE BOMB SQUAD!! HAVE YOU NEVER SEEN SPEED??? But turns out it was a moot point. While the bad guys were getting out the lockbox I was trying to see Quinn on the ground and when they showed him "dead" I was sad but impressed the show would kill him like that. But he's a clever boy.
I had to laugh when the CIA wondered how Roya knew they were in the tailor's shop. Uh, pulling up with a bunch of police cars and black government sedans is not stealth. Just because the cars were behind the shop doesn't mean they are invisible. "Maybe they had someone watching the place." YA THINK? Of course they did, you nitwits.
I continue to be enthralled by Carrie and Brody together. They could sit in a room and eat cereal and I'd be on the edge of my seat. Such electric chemistry, and both characters are so close to the edge. Damian is so brilliant (as is Claire). I mean, his face at the end when he was holding her. He just gives nothing away!
Of course we know Jess will find out about Carrie's involvement and that will go badly. Understandably! I really just think she would be so much happier with Mike. It's interesting that Mike still hasn't thought that perhaps Brody was turned as well. And yeah, NO SHIT he hasn't been the same since he got back. Who would be? But Mike means well. Even though a missing bullet is really not any kind of conclusive evidence at all. Like, if three were gone would that let Brody off the hook? But I quibble.
Morgan Saylor did a wonderful job with the hospital scenes. I do feel for Finn and why he's desperate to keep it a secret because he's so afraid of how his dad will react (and what it could do to his dad's career). But we all know this is going to come to light, and hopefully intersect with Brody and go somewhere we're not expecting. I hope. :)
Can't wait for next week!

In other news,
some thoughts on my blog about menage stories and the challenges of categorizing them at resellers like Amazon, which only has a Gay and Lesbian section. No mention of bi or trans or whatnot. Since some m/m readers react strongly to any females in their stories, it can be problematic to put m/m/f in the Gay and Lesbian category since there is het content there.
