Burned through the rest of Band of Brothers on the weekend, and I'm rather disappointed in myself that it took me 10 whole years to watch this show. So, SO good. Obviously heartbreaking at times, but also a beautiful testament to the power and bond of friendship. I thought it was amazing. Great, great cast. Damian Lewis, Ron Livingston, Scott Grimes, Donnie Walhberg, Michael Cudlitz, some actors I don't know but who were awesome, and -- much to my surprise! -- Matthew Settle from Gossip Girl. I have a whole new respect for him. The man can actually act! It must kill his soul a little bit to play Rufus, but I'm sure he's happy to have a full-time job.
This is one of those shows that gives you thinky thoughts, and I haven't been able to get it out of my head. My dad loaned me the book, so I look forward to reading that. Next time I visit we're going to do The Pacific.
BoB is also one of those shows that -- if you're like me -- gives you slashy thoughts. OMG Damian Lewis and Ron Livingston were just amazing. I need more Damian in my life, so question for those who watched Life on NBC: Was it a satisfying ending? Or at least a decent ending?
Even if you haven't seen BoB, I totally recommend this gorgeous vid of Damian and Ron making eyes at each other:
