I caught up on the last episodes of The Amazing Race this weekend.
I realized Zev and Justin had become my faves once the Cowboys were gone -- just in time for them to be eliminated, of course. Their last two legs were just not their days, unfortunately.
Big Easy bothered me a few times in these legs. I love Flight Time, but Big Easy can really be a dick when he wants to be, and his transphobic comments didn't endear him to me. So in the end, I was rooting for Jen and Kisha. Poor Gary and Mallory were screwed by that cab driver. I seriously would have been ready to murder him. So frustrating!
In the end I'm really glad Jen and Kisha won. Yay for another all-female team winning! I think Justin said that the sisters were really consistent in this race, and they were. They won the leg when it sure counted. Good for them.

Also, OMG VAMPIRE DIARIES HOW SO AWESOME?
Okay, I was sure Jeremy was going to be okay since Jenna already died, but ZOMG DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT. I GASPED when the bullet hit him. I'm so, SO glad I was unspoiled for Anna and Vicki returning. AWESOME. I totally thought it would be Emily Bennett there, because Bianca Lawson's name was in the credits. (I guess just for her voice when Bonnie was channelling her?) So Jer can see dead people now? Or something? Ghosts of girlfriends past! Whatever it is, IT EXCITES ME GREATLY. I love seeing Jeremy get more to do than be the damsel in distress.
Although this show needs to stop killing people and bringing them back, as it's starting to feel like Heroes and needless to say that ain't a good thing.
Also, I found it odd that Bonnie wasn't sleeping over with him. I mean, really, you bring your boyfriend back from the dead and then you're like, Later! I'll video chat with you via product placement technology when I get home. But Alaric was the cutest teasing Jer, and I would like it v.v. much if he moves in with them and becomes their parental figure. God knows these poor kids need one! But really, Jenna lifted out so easily, and they almost had to axe her. I feel bad for Sara Canning, but Jenna just didn't fit into the show. But hey, maybe she'll return to haunt Jeremy? Oh, and I loved Alaric being all "Woe, my girlfriend's dead" and then WAIT, MY BOYFRIEND NEEDS ME. I love his friendship with Damon so much.
Awwww, Damon. His scenes with Elena were so sweet, and I think it was nice that Elena was so good to him. I really don't think she's in love with him -- but she wanted to comfort him in his dying hour. She does care about him a lot and feel an attraction to him, but in the (literally) immortal words of Katherine -- it'll always be Stefan.
Speaking of whom, I'm of two minds about his transformation -- either he really has tipped over to the dark side (but he was building up a tolerance with Elena's blood), or he's faking to fool Klaus. I hope it's the latter. Poor Elijah. I'm sure we'll see him again for Sweeps next season.
Caroline and her mom made me all mushy inside. I just love that girl so much. Really looking forward to Caroline/Tyler goodness next season. Suck it, Matt. His rejection of Caroline last week has me very peeved at him.
