Had an amazing time in Cape Cod and New York City. mcfeste, susanderavish and I went to Provincetown last weekend and had some adventures with a rented boat, Miss Richfield 1981 and lots of tequila. Also the most amazing seafood. Mmm, lobster bisque ( Read more... )

WAT OMG I didn't know you got to see Matt!!! *_______* That must have been so amazing.

I'm so sick of gay coming-of-age tales ending in tragedy

Um, yes please.

I have heard nothing but good things about American Idiot, but on one lazy afternoon, I tried watching a boot and it just didn't grab me. Maybe I'll try again, I might not have been in the right mood. Or something. But I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much - there's really nothing like an amazing theater experience. :D

commentjacking because that is apparently how we do round these hurr parts

1. Yeah, when she emailed me to Twitterstalk she post-scripted that she was seeing Idiot, as that is Very Relevant To My Interests. HOWEVER. SHE FAILED TO MENTION THIS FACT TOO. AND AS MUCH AS I LOVE AI WITH MY PROUD LITTLE FANGIRLY HEART, SERIOUSLY? I AM DISSAPPOINT.

2. omg I looooove what Matt said about the whole gay love stories being depressing as hell or all about the struggle for equality. I've been complaining for years (ever since the -- IMO, overrated -- Brokeback) that until we can just have gay lovers be, well, GAY, and not horrifically persecuted, true equality will never be achieved. It's gotta be no big deal, just sweet sweet love. And this is why I'm looking forward to McKinley so much. Plus, Seth Numrich (his Romeo, lulz) is ADORABLE AS HELL on Gravityalso matt will apparently be topless. in more than one scene. sign me up, plz ( ... )

HAVE I TOOOOOOLD YOU LATELYYYYYYYYYY THAT I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUU (no I have not, so I will now)

It's gotta be no big deal, just sweet sweet love.

So, so, so true. When it's not some big ~tragedy~ or ~controversy~, when it's just your run-of-the-mill romantic comedy, that will be one of the BIGGEST steps in finally achieving this. It may happen in our lifetime, too.

D'AWWWW YOUR NOVEL ABOUT AI, YOU'RE SO CUTE. :D AND I REALLY DO LOVE YOU A HUGE AMOUNT <3<3<3 Believe me, I totally understand being a stan, and being protective about something, and just for you I will give this a try! I was only a couple minutes in and I just wasn't feeling it, and I kind of just knew in my bones that there's a lot lost in translation because so many people love it and it was so weird to me that I couldn't. I've listened to the OBCR a couple times - I always get a little thrill when I hear "21 Guns" on local radio - but I have a couple audios on hand too, so I will try those!

*squishes you*

21 GUNS IS PLAYED THERE. WTF YOUR LOCAL RADIO IS AWESOME.

<33333 THANK YOU for giving it another chance! Really though, I do understand people who've seen it and been like EW ANGST, so no pressure to actually like it. I just doubt that most people can see it in person and not have VERY STRONG FEELINGS, whether positive or negative.

THAT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE. I'M DRUNK AND HAVE A SHOWERCAP FULL OF BAKING SODA ON MY HEAD. HOW ARE YOU.

YES, APPARENTLY THE PEOPLE HERE LOVE IT? IDK WHAT'S UP WITH THAT, BUT YAY MUSICAL THEATER \o/

And OMG sorry this reply is so late; I'm currently slaving over a paper that was supposed to be due Monday but now it's due ON SATURDAY NIGHT. I'm a mess. :| But school's good! Mostly! lol. ARE YOU EXCITED FOR YOUR HOLLYWOOD BOWL ADVENTURES? WHAT ELSE DO YOU HAVE PLANNED?

DDDD: I wish you well on that paper! I HATE when professors do that. >.< THERE IS NO RUSH TO REPLY TO THINGS. ESPECIALLY COMING FROM THE PERSON THAT PRETTY MUCH LURKS ALL THE TIME NOWADAYS.

Um um, it was going to be my first ~real growed-up~ birthday weekend just with one of my close friends and away from family and whatnot, but turns out my uncle about an hour outside LA is totally willing to let us crash at his house Saturday night. Which means considerably less freedom, but YAY FREE ROOM.

Also, if this encourages you, he is a neurologist and his house is full of FANCY SHINY ELECTRONIC DEVICES and several computers and whatnot, and he likes to Buy Things. Because he can. Because he is a Doctor, and that is what happens when you finish these 23428793472 years of education and go on to Make Money and Save Lives. SO STAY STRONG. <3333333

1. PLZ FORGIVE.

2. Seriously, I'm so ready for a gay coming-of-age tale without tragedy. Also, I'm very ready for another gay cable show where the couples can actually touch each other.

3. I think you really need to see AI in person to fully appreciate. It's so visceral and powerful. When the floor is shaking, there's just nothing like it. :D

Ngl, it really was amazing. I could watch Matt sing the phone book and be happy as a clam. Even though I only knew a few songs, I loved his choices. The BBB songs made me so happy. :D

Yay for a gay teen love story minus tragedy! As I said to Matt, as soon as I heard the R&J aspect, I was like, Oh, that'll end well. :| But it will! Thank goodness.

I really think you need to see AI live to properly appreciate it. It's so...visceral. I can totally understand being meh on it just based on the boot or promo stuff. But live it was amazeballs. I'm dying to see it again!

YOU NEED TO COME TO NYC, IS ALL I'M SAYING. XO
