For me, once a show is over, my obsession will peter out, so there's relief knowing that I won't always care this much. You know? Because right now I'm v.v. invested and will cry real tears if L/R don't have a happy ending. Meep.
I'm rolling around like a crazed dog in this ship and fandom. It's nice knowing it's ending in September (even though it still makes me sad the show is going off the air) because there's an end date to this insanity.
WORD. But still, half my angst comes from the stress of them ending in September and the risk of crappy Nuke Endgame being thrown in due to cancellation. STILL, *revels*
Heh, I just realised I think your post may have been the catalyst for me checking back in with ATWT after I had forsaken it! I remmeber thinking "Oh the show's cancelled? I should go catch up on Nuke before it's over."
It's so funny how obsessions can strike from the most unexpected sources. I mean, I was FFing through so much of Nuke and then I found out Reid had actually come out (I'd assumed he was Katie's new love interest) and I had to go back and rewatch. And the rest is history.
