High School Musical 3 set a huge box office record for musicals this weekend, and I must say I heartily enjoyed it. So much cheesy fun! Zac Efron has grown up v.v. nicely, is a good actor, and he takes his shirt off. (Prompting a little girl in the theatre with an impressive grasp of the obvious to scream, "HE TOOK HIS SHIRT OFF!!!" Hee.)

The plot didn't always make sense -- Vanessa had never seen Troy's treehouse before? And no, that is not a euphemism -- but who cares when there's singing and dancing to be had. Although they need to work on the casting for HSM: The Next Generation, because that British chick was incredibly annoying and no Sharpay Evans, thank you very much.

As a follow-up to his "Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" desert number in HSM 2, Zac did a cheesetastic song in the empty high school that was in the same vein as Kevin Bacon dancing and performing gymnastics in the empty factory in Footloose. Good times! With lyrics such as "This time it's man-to-man," "I can't chose, so confused," and "what's the right team?" Disney isn't even bothering with subtext anymore. At one point basketballs rained down on him, and bliss_ noted, "It's okay, he likes being surrounded by balls." *g*

Watched SPN, and seriously, Jensen Ackles' Eye of the Tiger video is too fantastic for words. I just love that Kripke was like, This is too good to wait for the gag reel, we must share it with the world now and air it at the end of the episode! Hee. I love Jared and the crew laughing their asses off on the audio, too. Good times.

supernatural, zac
