It's so very satisfying that the AP picked up the story about the fan protests against the lack of Noah/Luke kissage on ATWT and now it's in 345930980 newspapers. I can't remember the last time a soap had this kind of mainstream media coverage. Sometimes fandom is awesome.
Out.com has a new article with some interesting tidbits. I love the actors playing Katie and Brad for speaking out. That's rather cool of them. Also!
A veteran actor on the show tells Out, “Producers are rethinking their decision. To say they are panicking is an understatement.”
Oh, to be a fly on the wall over at ATWT headquarters.
One rival daytime executive suggests that another network should pen its own gay love story -- but unlike ATWT, tell it properly. “Clearly there's a demand out there,” the executive says. “And we wouldn't be shy about showing any kissing. We'd kill for this kind of publicity!”
PLZ BRING IT ON, RIVAL NETWORK! I used to watch all the ABC soaps, so any of those would work quite nicely for me.

Okay, this show has to come back. It really, really has to. Because it can't end with Cameron getting blown up. (Until she manages to cobble herself back together and grown new skin and hair, or something.) I thought that twist was too telegraphed, but whatever, I still loved the finale a lot. The use of Johnny Cash made me think I was watching Supernatural, and I mean that as the highest of compliments, naturally. I just adored the way they shot that scene from the bottom of the pool. A very nice twist on the Terminator rubbing out a bunch of people, which we've seen so many times.
I was squeeing like crazy when John put the chip back in Cameron's head and was caressing her hair (the still didn't lie! Huzzah!). I love the slow build they're doing on the UST between them, and also on the fact that John cares about Cameron, period.
Speaking of slow burns, what's the deal with the girl at school? It's got to be something big, since they've been teasing it out so slowly. I really hope we get to find out!
I'm sure I'm forgetting many other things I want to say, but bottom line: I freaking love this show. It's such a valuable franchaise, and I hope that helps Fox give it a S2.
