If you're like most people, you only pay attention to figure skating every four years. However, I am not like most people. So one of my friends asked me to write up some Cliff's Notes for her so she'd know who to watch next week and I figured since this took a long time to write out, I might as well post my thoughts (along with some visual aids) ( Read more... )

These skaters are getting thiner and thiner, as their skates are looking larger and larger.

I like watching skating, I just never bother, you will have to e-mail me and tell me when to watch. Michelle is the only person I even recognize, and I used to pay semi-attention to skating.

Stephane has Hal's eyes, have you noticed this?

I never noticed about Stephane, but there is a slight similarity...

It's not like I am in love with Hal (as you well know), they just stood out to me.

And Kara can get off Caprica anytime now. (Is she off of there by the end of these 10 episodes? I'm starting #5 right now.)

I am an every 4 years ice skating fan. Actually, I'm not but it's hard to keep up without cable in Australia *curses*
The rundown is absolutely fanatstic! Now I shall know who to keep an eye out for.

ps. was slightly afraid that you were a Plushenko fan for a second there. Glad to see that's not the case :)

No, I'm definitely not a Plushenko fan! I can't deny his talent but I'd be delighted if someone else can pull a surprise victory out.

Also, please take note of all the different euphemisms the commentators will use to describe him without saying the word "gay." It should be a drinking game.

HAAAA!! I noticed that during the US Championships! Dick Button's use of euphemisms saddens me.
