I think they're doing that family one in the early fall? Something like that.

Uuuuuhh. I am not thrilled with this family idea. There had better be a normal race in the fall, too!

No kidding. When they were soliciting applications for that version, I was already rolling my eyes. Look out! Whiny kids ahead!

Ugh, seriously. It's not going to be fun seeing kids getting dragged all over the place! How can I revel in the schadenfreude! I mean, I'm sure I'll find a way, but still. :/

I was almost screaming at them to run. I could not believe J and U were going to lose the race because of cab fare! Hey they could have promised the guy a thousand dollars once the race was over. It was a very sweet ending and I was very happy that a nice team won the race.

They're such nice people. But seriously, there's no WAY I would have stuck around to get more money. Give the guy an IOU! The finish line is right there! Rob and Amber could have shown up at any time, and you have no idea how far it actually is to the finish line -- and Rob and Amber would definitely beat them in a foot race, I think.

But anyway, a very satisfying ending. :)

Well I think Joyce was ready to take off. I wonder if they would have been so lovey dovey if Uchenna's refusal to leave the cab before raising the money had cost them the million dollars.

As you can imagine I was absolutely heartbroken that Rob and Amber lost, well except for the heartbroken part. Why is that only The Amazing Race manages to get me on my feet during the last five minutes and pacing, every single season?

I have to say it was especially satisfying to have Rob/Amber go all that way to come in second.

But forget them, YAY!! I love when the people I want to win, actually do. This almost, *almost* makes up for Kris/Jon losing last season.

U&J were just on our local news in a live broadcast from the restaurant where the teams were celebrating in NY. I think Joyce has done quite a bit of celebrating tonight, given her slurred speech. LOL

Oh, that's probably TARcon (a TWoP production), I'd imagine. I really do like Joyce and Uchenna, and even though I really like Rob and Amber, too, Joyce and Uchenna won fair and square and I was totally happy for them.

Ah, Kris and Jon. I really hope they make it on All Stars, if that ever happens (which it really should!).

I think they're at the CBS sponsored party right now, which of course is 4 blocks from my office and where am I? Home. Grrr... I'm sure they'll be stopping by the party at MSG if Joyce is still standing by then. Hee.

I wish Rob/Amber well, they seem to be happy and in love with one another and that's always a nice thing to see. I might even watch their wedding. I'm just glad to be done with them on TAR.

Must start petition for All Stars and/or mix teams from previous seasons, that way Zach can be rid of Flo.

I was definitely routing for Romber, but I'm still happy for U&J. Joyce shaved her head and didn't get a prize for coming in first. I think they came in first twice and didn't get anything, but Rob and Amber got like three prizes. Uchenna and Joyce definitely deserved it because they fought hard. They convinced a pilot to let them on the plane when it was about to take off. I give them major kudos. Though, I'm still ouching from my heart being in my throat the whole last part of the show!!

*rooting (btw)...and I forgot to say how much I'm DREADING the next season. A little kid isn't going to understand the running and lack of sleep aspect. I don't want them to scale back because of an eight year olds tantrum. I guess we'll see.

So is there not going to be a normal race, just this family thing? I DO NOT APPROVE. :|

I'm glad they made that flight, or the finish would have been really anti-climatic!
