I just went for a walk at lunch and went into HMV "just to look." I'm so, so weak. They had Once Were Warriors, one of my fave movies of all time, for $20. What am I, made of stone?
Seriously, if you haven't seen this movie, you must. It saddens me that Temeura Morrison is not better known over here, his performance in this movie is utterly amazing. The whole cast is wonderful and the movie is just all kinds of powerful and violent and heartbreaking. Domestic violence at its most ugly, it's not a feel-good movie - but it's incredible. There's a rawness that you just don't get with Hollywood, the Kiwis sure got it right with this one.
