Oh, this is great. Good way of weaving in their history, and Brian's lingering suspicions over the Ethan thing. Damnit, I need a QAF icon or seven in the worst way.

I love this start- but I love angst & promise of sappy ending. :-)

I love Brian's queen-out, and Justin chasing after him barefoot.

And there is just a lovely build of... anxiety and Brian proclaiming No Rules- can see Brian doing that to give Justin the freedom, but meanwhile Justin will be wondering about Brian wanting that freedom too- and oh the angst & just want to hug & slap them both. And am now eagerly awaiting more of this to see where you are going to take them.

Ohh- And LOVED that Brian & Mel moment. :-)

Heh. Well, I know that I personally usually won't read a story if it's going to have a sad ending, so I wanted to put that disclaimer on there.

Heh. Well, I know that I personally usually won't read a story if it's going to have a sad ending, so I wanted to put that disclaimer on there.

I can deal with the occassional sad ending IF it was worth the journey and is a ... happy?sad ending- not just trauma. And in this case- with this premise- it's good to know that Brian & Justin's love isn't in question it's the angst resultant from that love & life.

I can deal with sad endings for some movies and books, but not others. Like, for B/J, it has to be happy. I'm just too invested in them at this point.

And for an example of how sappy I can be? My icon is a reference to the time when I cried during Beaches. Not when the chick died (although I cried then, too!), but halfway through when Bette Midler stands up her geeky date, and he's left at the door carrying a corsage. It was just so pathetic, the poor guy! I started crying, and my friend was like, *This* isn't the sad part, you loser!

See? Sap.

Keira, why you break me so? Why? I am seriously sitting here crying right now. That was beautiful and so the Brian and Justin of my dreams. This killed me dead:

He sighs and steps up onto my shoes, his arms firm around my back for balance. “Next time I chase after you, remind me to at least put socks on.” We both laugh and I hold him tightly, even though my collarbone aches. He watches me closely. “You promise you’ll be here when I get back?”

I love the little details like Justin stepping on Brian's shoes. The imagery is gorgeous.

Please tell me you're not working, eating or sleeping in the next 24 hours but instead writing the next part? Is that too much to ask for? :P

Also, Tracee and I just came back from a dinner with Reboot and we hope your ears were ringing. We started talking fan fic and of course your name came up and how much we all love your stories! :D
