A personal message #2

So, this is kind of a new thing to me, and I'm trying to avoid mistakes I've seen others do in similar situations. I'm talking about the fundraiser thing again that Nightfox recently started for me.

Again, I am eternally grateful for all the help I've received from all you people. However, I never really talked about the whole truth. Not because there is something to hide, but simply because I'm afraid that what really is happening goes beyond of what's known, and I kinda don't like asking for help.

What you guys know is that I lost both my car and my laptop. A few of you know that I'm also on the edge of losing my camera, simply because it's 10 years old and about to die. I was a little bit scared to see weird effects that are actually visible in the AC 2015 video that I can only assume are due to a slowly dieing CCD (or one of the processing circuits). If any of you actually care finding out more, I'm more than happy to talk about it, but for the general public, I'll keep the tech talk low.

Now of course there's not only bad news. Thanks to Nightfox, I have a new car which was a real bargain, and thanks to Loewi, I am able to work on videos again. The whole fundraiser thing, however, keeps me alive beyond that.

I'm going to invest in the future of BBF TV, which includes the replacement of the old camera, and as soon as certain things are set in stone (I hate talking about unlaid eggs), I will post updates. I will try to keep this as transparent as possible, and I do want you all to know where your money went. That this is not about me going all out and doing stupid stuff, buying plane tickets for conventions or the nth GoPro, but that your donations actually went into what you thought they would.

As of today, I have received the money for the donations (sans fees that Indygogo requires of course) and I am working on having the camera replaced. I also have working video hardware again, and I am still waiting for an invoice which, for unknown reasons, hasn't shown up yet.

As usual, the whole story turned out to be a bit more complex, but I am going to shed light on it in more posts as the time goes by (and overdie invoices finally come in).

Last but not least, I now know what real friends are. And I have one more reason to add to my portfolio of why the fandom, that's all you guys, is so awesome.
