Halloween in Oriole Park
This is a unretouched photo of a dead Willow Tree in Oriole Park on Halloween. The only manipulation I did was lighten the photo so the tree could be seen against the night sky.
When it was alive this Willow Tree was enormous and magnificent. Many area residents mourn the loss of this tree that shaded the children's playground in the park. It's the second mature old growth tree to be destroyed in the park this year because of adverse weather.
I'm not sure what the phenomenon around the tree depicted in this photo is a result of but I know the eerie feeling I got from the dead tree that compelled me to photograph it.
