IMPORTANT: Deadline change & submission guidelines!
Hello all! We have some good news, at least we think it will be for some of the panicked writers among us. Due to many factors that we know are keeping people from finishing their rough drafts (storms, power outages, holidays, personal obligations, etc.), we have decided to extend the deadline for a week. That means the entire rest of the schedule is shifting by one week. So, the updated schedule is as follows:
July 13: First draft due. Must be 15K and must have a beginning/middle/end.
July 16: Artist/mixer claims day!
August 13: Required check-in for Authors.
August 20: Required check-in for Artists/Mixers. Must show screenshot of current work.
September 22: All fanworks should be be in the queue by the end of the day.
September 24: The mods will release posts from the queue and post the masterlist of fics/art/fanmixes, etc. for all to enjoy.
We sincerely hope this will give everyone a chance to get their works finished in time and that you guys are as happy with it as we are.
Now, if you have already finished your draft or would like to submit it before July 13, you can do so at any time. Just make sure you submit via the following guidelines:
Please send an email to bbbbmods@gmail.com with your submission attached in Word format. Please also include the following with your submission:
1) Your LJ name
2) Story Title
3) Pairing (If your story is a crossover, please include the info here)
4) Rating
5) Any warnings/spoilers
6) A summary for artists (this does not have to be a final summary - this is just for artists! But please be as detailed as possible! Sell your story! If you're not sure what this should sound like, take a look at how last year's authors did it in this post.)
The rough draft must be at least 15,000 words and it must be complete (with a beginning, middle and end, though you may add/edit as much as you like up until you post it). No exceptions. Once we receive your draft, we will reply to your email within 24 hours to confirm that everything is okay.
Artist claims will open on July 16th. We will post each summary and title (anonymously) for artists to pick from. Every single author be paired up with an artist, so the post will stay open for as long as it takes!
