Mod Post: FAQ Change
We have decided to make a slight change to our current FAQ.
As it currently reads, the rules for writing states, "- Fic must be something that has NEVER been posted or published before. If you have an un-posted WIP, that is fine, as long as it hasn't been posted publicly prior to signing up for this challenge."
There has been some confusion regarding this rule. In the past, we have had individuals use a story that they had previously posted as their "Big Bang." This is unacceptable.
However, we are changing our FAQ and this rule to reflect the following:
"You can use previously posted or published fic for your Big Bang as long as you have an additional 15k of new content."
For example, if you have posted comment fic on a fic meme and would like to expand on it as your Big Bang, that is acceptable. HOWEVER, the story must contain at least 15K of original work - you cannot use your previous work to count towards your word count. It is only fair to the rest of the writing participants who have worked hard to write a new story.
