Random Note: I have a complaint with this comm. Nobody writes enough fanfics, so I have to go back a gajillion pages on my friends list to find a link to bigbang_fanfic or I have to go to my "manage friends". D: Okay, I'm done whining, on with the fic! >D

It had only become a true problem when JiYong decided to stop eating one day. It was the same day the guard came back to haunt him. No, watch him. When the guard came back to watch him. Watch him shower, watch him sleep; watch him do everything he did before, including squirm under the older man.

It was after a rather horrific scene that JiYong finally got salvation. He felt like he was burning as the guard rubbed him harshly; he couldn’t hold back a loud, hoarse scream. He kicked the guard out of the tub right as Umma-sshi had come in to see what the noise was.

“JiYong!” She scolded, surprised at the boy’s second act of violence against his guard.

JiYong just started sobbing, he couldn’t stop. Loud cries filled the air and the woman began to wonder.

She edged over to the young boy, wrapping him into her arms, letting herself get wet, ignoring that the boy wasn’t clothed. “What is it? What’s wrong?” She asked him, not sure he’d talk.

“I hate him… I hate him.” JiYong replied through sobs.

She remained quiet, stroking the boy’s wet hair out of his face, holding him close as he repeated his words over and over.

Once the boy had calmed down a bit, she pulled him away and smiled, “Let’s get you out of the shower, hmm?” She told him kindly. She looked to the guard, frozen at his spot on the floor. “Can you hand me a towel?” She asked him, snapping the man out of his daze.

JiYong could only guess Umma-sshi had taken his words to heart when he noticed a different guard at the door the next morning. The woman in question came into the room, a smile on her face. “I’m glad you’re awake. How are you feeling?” She asked him kindly.

He nodded simply. He felt sore, and still felt like his body was on fire. But there was a numbing sensation as well.

“You fainted in the shower before I could get you out. We sent you to the doctor in the building and he told us you had been… violated repeatedly. You won’t be seeing any more of the guard.” She rubbed her hand in his hair, giving him a strange chill. “Are you hungry?”

He shook his head and his stomach protested.

She frowned. “I hear you haven’t been eating.” She told him, showing her disproval.

JiYong frowned, he didn’t want to make Umma-sshi upset.

“Listen. I’ve been talking with the doctors, and they were thinking bringing you to a regular room would be better than this.” She explained, pointing to the jacket.

“You will still be guarded, but if I let you move back to a regular room, you have to promise you won’t break anymore lights.”

JiYong nodded.

It was a relief when YoungBae was brought into a regular room; saw JiYong on a regular bed, in regular attire. He smiled at his friend. “You’re doing better?” He asked, trying to be optimistic.

JiYong shook his head no and YoungBae frowned.

“Are you going to cut yourself anymore?” YoungBae asked.

JiYong shook his head again. “I’m going to die.” He replied half-heartedly.

YoungBae felt his heart leap. “What?! JiYong! You can’t!” He felt himself crying for the first time since his friend came in two months ago.

JiYong shot him a look that sent chills down his spine. “Why not?” He yelled. “I hate this place and no one will let me go! I WANT TO GO HOME.”

YoungBae lowered his eyes. “If you go home, will you cut yourself?” He asked.

Umma-sshi walked past at this moment, and decided to stay, curious for the young boy’s answer while at the same time thinking it a relief when JiYong spoke, but did not get the chance to hear it as commotion was heard and she went to investigate.

“No.” the younger boy replied quietly. “Not if it brings me here again.”

She noticed a lady come in. JiYong wasn’t joking… Umma-sshi thought with a smile as Mrs. Kwon was brought in.

Umma-sshi pulled the woman aside, hoping not to distract the boys in the room.

“How has he been?” Mrs. Kwon asked. She hadn’t been able to directly confront her son, but she had been keeping close track of his progress.

Umma-sshi frowned. “He’s… been… damaged to say the least. He’s definitely doing better in a regular room though.”

Mrs. Kwon nodded, lowering her gaze.

YoungBae hadn’t meant to eavesdrop, but he had needed to use the restroom at just that moment. He leaned against the wall, listening in. No one tells me anything. They think just cause I’m young I don’t care what happens to JiYong? He growled to himself.

“We found out a couple days ago that JiYong had been raped repeatedly by one of the guards. We… immediately fired the guard and he’ll be going to court soon enough. We have enough evidence on him to get him properly taken care of.” Umma-sshi explained.

YoungBae heard JiYong’s mother let out a gasp, and he knew the woman probably felt weak; he sure did.

“JiYong hasn’t eaten for four days, and we’re very worried. He’s still drinking, but that won’t last him forever.” Umma-sshi continued. “I think he’s in a better state of mind than he has been, but I’m worried about his weakening state. He was badly injured because of the guard, and it’s left him pretty weak-hearted. He hasn’t broken any more light bulbs, mind you, but we’re keeping a close watch on him.”

YoungBae rushed off to the bathroom as he heard a rustle of clothing, a possible suggestion they were moving towards him. JiYong had been raped repeatedly… the words kept playing in his mind.

“JiYong, just eat something, and I think they’ll let you go home.” He whispered to himself quietly once in the bathroom. He let himself cry the tears he had been trying to hold in the room.

YoungBae left the bathroom to see the two women still talking, now in an office.

“… and I think some time at home will do him good. He can hold off on school for a bit longer, and he can wait to do his music activities. But just letting him adjust to being home, and then slowly bringing in other stresses will help him transition calmly.” Umma-sshi explained, writing all this down.

YoungBae pulled at his sleeve shyly as he went up to the women. “I don’t mean to eavesdrop, but I’m the one who lives with JiYong right now…” He made a face, rather cute to the two women. “Can I know how to help him too, please?”

Umma-sshi smiled. “Of course you can… YoungBae, right?” The boy nodded and the woman re-explained how to help.

“He’s been given the chances to cut, we even gave him paper,” Umma-sshi let out a small laugh, “but he hasn’t done so. He’s improved in a surprising amount of time. As soon as he eats something, we can probably let him out.”

“He’s improving because he wants to go home.” YoungBae spoke up. “Really badly, he told me he’d never cut again if he could avoid a place like this.”

Umma-sshi looked saddened at the young boy’s statement and he suddenly felt bad for saying it.

“Unfortunately, JiYong’s time here has not been very therapeutic. No one can blame him for wanting to leave as soon as possible.” She told the two quietly, sadly.
