Post-Project: Comic Con 2 report...
Hey, everyone... Mariel, Nick, and I just returned from our sojourn to Project: Comic Con 2 in Maryland Heights, Mo. this weekend.
Must say we had quite the time at this con. Got to talk with a great number of pros, Gail Simone, Javier Saltares, and Howard Chaykin [!] among them. Was very glad to connect with more comics fans and creators and drum up interest for the two big projects which I will announce... now.
As you all know, STOMPGIRL is in the works and the first issue will be out by year's end. Concept-wise, you're looking at a piece of cyberpunk sci-fi, centered on the heroine's quest for her own identity. And there is curbstomping, general mayhem, and a foul-mouthed talking cat. Incidentally, yes, this will be a MATURE-READERS book. Stay tuned.
And now for the OTHER big news!
As of this past April, I joined the writing staff of...
Essentially, the INDEX is an issue-by-issue guide that lists all there is to know about each issue: character appearances and chronologies, plot synopsis, creators involved, handy trivia, and as much, much more as we can fit. First issue with my contributions drops on October 6.
And on a personal note, my days of only updating this site every few months or so are over and done. This point forward, more content, more updates, and more art.
Back soon. And yes, I mean that.
