I stood in front of Caritas my arms crossed, my eyes studying the vampire in front of me. He was deliberately looking away from me.
"We're here, pet, so tell me t'stay or go."
He'd like that wouldn't he? Ask him to stay because a part of me really doesn't want to run into Angel by myself. I didn't think he was here, most of the time I can feel it when he's nearby. Unless he does that trick where he sneaks up on you and scares the hell out of you. But it's not like he'd really have a reason to do that, is there?
It wouldn't be a bad thing, having Spike for back up. He's a strong fighter and if there are any nasties he could help out...and if Angel just happens to be here he would no doubt annoy him more than anything I could ever do. All you have to do is say "Spike" and Angel gets that annoyed look in his eye.
God, what am I thinking? There's a portal. Death and destruction just hopping over any old time and here I am thinking about seeing Angel? Not to mention, since when do I think that Spike is on par with solid back up? He's obviously unstable. Priorities, Buffy.
