cleaning frenzy!! christmas tree!!
Yay! Just woke up! Time to clean my house! I havent cleaned it since it became clear thanksgiving wouldnt be at our house lol. The heater broke the day before thanksgiving, and had been belching ash through all the vents while gabe was gone with his brothers. So, no heat, plus I was freaking out about carbon monoxide poisoning, luckily gabe bought one of the detectors to plug in. So, filth in the air slowly settling on all our stuff. Major dramarama, we ended up moving the dinner to the fuhrmans. Totally cool, I still made my turkey and breads and pies and whatnot, just had to move all my decorations and things. I really appreciate the fact that there was another house available lol. We'll try it again at our house next time. Or not. I dunno yet. Luckily, the heater was fixed, and does not have to be replaced right this minute. whew.
Anyways, the main excitement of my weekend (of course, since I'm in retail) was black friday. Super fun! Brought in about eight grand friday and saturday, pretty amazing. Lots of small purchases, and a few large ones as well. Off the top of my head, a 900 dollar bridal set, an 800 dollar 1-carat gents ring. Also bought diamond studs for my one-year anniversary (so I can't have them till next august- they are in my grandparents vault right now). They were the deal of a lifetime lol! And I should know. Discussed it with my husband for about a week, he insisted i purchase them. They are 1 and 1/4 carats, I will never want a bigger pair in my life- any bigger is tacky. So we agreed I could have them now, while they are at their cheapest, and not get any presents for about two years lol. Plus, I am paying off the bill myself, and once its paid, I'm cutting up that card lol, we don't need anything else. at least now I know i wont get ripped off later haha!
Anyways, went to see THe boy in striped pajamas last night... interesting, but truly horrible. At least it was only about a quarter as long as schindlers list. I think I'll go find the novel at the library, too.
So day off, that I am spending cleaning, starting with the bedroom. Later alissa might come over to help us decorate the christmas tree we might get tonight lol. I'd love to start- depends how tired gabe is when he gets home. We could have snacks and watch home alone, like always lol. we are so goofy!
