Just one question, honey:
If the fics being nominated have already been published somewhere, it's very possible that the judge might have already read them. So, as much as I am for anonymous judging, I'm afraid that's not guarantedd :(

yeah thats definitely true hun, but im not sure theres much i can do about that :( so all i can do is make it as anonymous as possible :)

Just then, if I happen to judge stories I already know, I'll tell you -of course will do my best to be impartial :)
By the way, I don't know where you found Spike's face which is on the left side of the banner, but it's gorgeous!

I have a question: is it okay to nominate WIPs for any category? Do the fics have to be current, or can they be older?

Heyhey! Yup wip's are allowed in most categories.. excluding the obvious ones like best finished fic heh. But id recommend thinking about the wip you plan to nom. Like for example if youre entering a wip in best spander, you need to be sure theres some rockin spanderness in it, to be able to compete with the finished ficcies. But yes wips are welcome in most cats.

And nope, fics dont have to be current. The problem with some old fics is the writers might not still be around. So we send out confirmation requests to every nominee, to which they must respond to before the nom is finalised in the category. If a nom is rejected because of this, we'll let the nominator know.

Hi, got a couple for the cats that still have spaces, but wonder how old the fic should be? Both are a few years old.

Hey! Um the age doesnt matter unless that author is no longer in the verse. What i do is send out acceptance conformation to all those nominated, to make sure theyre around to receive any awards they might win. Otherwise we'd end up with people who've left the fandom getting awards, and never collecting them.

So, the age doesnt matter as long as the author is still active or contactable. :)
